Sometimes the things we value (or attach values to) the most have always been right there in front of us…
Long before the iPad (long long before the age of google and apple) we had these, slate boards. Every kid had these. Before google there were libraries, if you were looking for information (for research or a school project) you had to go to the library to find it. The slate board was a tool on which you could write or draw. It was primary a means of teaching kids to write without necessarily wasting paper (I think).
This tool his been in existence all along, a part of every kids every school life and a useful tool for education. In today’s world this same tool still exists, only that we no call it a tablet. It’s essentially a slate board for grownups, with a few extras here and there…
Anyway my whole point is around the fact that “I” believe that an idea as simple as this inspired what is now the world’s best selling (perceived as the most revolutionary device) piece of technology or device, essentially its a tool for communication much like the slate board was to some of us as kids.
